BIG, Wide Exquisitely Tooled Sterling Cuff Bracelet!
This great, wide bracelet features the silver work of noted Navajo silversmith Emerson Bill! It is a heavy gauge silver cuff, accented with raised repousse and tooled designs, and slightly domed, for comfort! An antiqued finish enhances the work nicely. Repousse work is raised tooling involving striking the silver to shape it into a carved form die, thus creating the raised designs. This is an elaborate and beautiful example of what can be done using this traditional technique. The artist is known for his deep impression, heavy struck tooling, and this sets a new standard! Hallmarked inside and stamped sterling, it measures 2" wide and has an inner circumference of 7 1/2" including the 1 5/8" gap. It may be gently re-shaped to fit the wearer's wrist, but should not be opened or closed quickly, or repeatedly, or by more than 1/2" or so. It will fit a man's wrist -- I'm 6'3".
