Handmade Sterling Tooled Baltic Amber Pendant!
This wonderful piece features traditional sterling tooling by Sadie Randolph, a solid bezel -- plus, really nice, long freeform, deep clarified Baltic Amber. Amber is the fossilized sap of ancient trees, 80 to 300 milion years old, and the wonderful honey-colored amber is still very plentiful in the Baltic States where it satill washes up on shore -- it floats! This example has been cleared by gentle heating. Hallmarked and stamped sterling, it measures 1 5/8" long.ex bale. The bale can accept up to a 7/16" diameter bead set, chain or cord. Specimen setting like this is the best example of traditional Navajo silver work, and will make a striking addition to anyone's wardrobe!
