SquareTrade © AP6.0ContemporaryZuni Channel Inlaid Turquoise Row Cuff by Julalita Lamy! Zuni inlay lapidary is known world-wide for its intricacy and design. The Zunis patiently refined the process of cutting raw turquoise into small, individual pieces, polishing them, then setting them in geometric, abstract or pictorial motifs, often with silver accent channels added to protect and enhance the design. This cuff is a nice example of both the current state of the technique as well as the refined silversmithing that is the Zuni hallmark. The cuff is 3/8" wide, to fit a 6 3/4" wrist circumference, including the 1" gap. The inlaid section features 5 channel inlaid lozenge shaped settings, but the ends my be gently re-shaped to fit the wearer. Signed inside "JL", this is a nice example from a noted Zuni lapidarist at a very reasonable price!
