Handmade Navajo Traditionally Stamp Tooled Pottery!="times">
This traditional vessel features native clay, traditionally coiled and hand-formed, stamp-tool incised in a six-way, yeii-bi-chai hunter motif standing around a six-pointed star top opening. The colors are traditional and muted. The entire pot is then pitch-glazed, inside and out, and wood-fired in the traditional manner. Navajo traditional pottery has a growing number of collectors. It is the only traditional pottery from the Southwest to use a glazed finish. The decorations are typically applied with stamping tools and wooden items. The pot measures 5" diameter and 3 7/8" tall. The pot is hallmarked on the bottom, and the artists are Jackson and Nancy Yazzie. If you are looking for an unusual piece of authentic Navajo pottery, then go no further!
