Navajo Sterling Silver Overlay Tooled Bear Pin

This traditional, Navajo sand cast pin is made in the shape of a bear with heartline and fetish accent design! Intricate cut patterns, in heavy sterling are then soldered down to a textured, oxidized back. It is hallmarked and stamped sterling by artist Edward Kinsel. A bright finish enhances it nicely. It measures 1 3/4" wide and has a locking pin/clasp back and a loop bale to hang as a pendant as well.

Bears are revered by Navajos both for their power and strength but also, as they can help in curing ceremonies, especially for bad ailments such as cancer.
