Huge Turquoise Nugget Sterling Silver Bead Necklace

This wonderful, handmade necklace features gigantic chunks of probably Chinese turquoise nuggets and authentic, handmade Navajo beads! The total weight of the necklace is 30.1 ounces, (1 lb. 14.1 ounces). It was probably Navajo strung in the 1970s. Each nugget exhibits a nice color variation and the matrix marking range from light buff to dark. We collected this monster in the 1990s. We had never seen anything like it before. The entire necklace measures 30" long, overall with hook/eye clasp.

The necklace bears no hallmarks, and the artist is unknown, but this is a great way to show off a lot of turquoise and traditional, Southwestern silver. Hook and eye closure, strung on waxed, stranded nylon.
