Handcarved, Painted Navajo Spirit Doll Carving!="times">
This wonderful hand painted Cottonwood root carving is highly detailed with burned-in accents. It stands and impressive 43" tall overall and depicts a blanket-wrapped longhair kachina spirit, several different fertility motifs and pueblo architecture. These carvings are meant to combine the cultural designs of several tribes and although they appear similar to kachina doll carvings, are in fact, a purely expressive art. The artist Ray Jim, renders each detail with love, and the results are amazing. Be sure to view the close-up details and bright, painted color accents.
