Navajo Sterling Silver Overlay Grazing Bison Story Buckle

This oval buckle is beautifully tooled and overlaid in heavy sterling by Frances Yazzie. The top layer features an intricate cut-out image of a pair of bison grazing near a valley river -- beautiful and peaceful. It is hallmarked and stamped "sterling" on the back. It measures 3 1/16" wide,2 5/16" tall with a swivel hasp for a 1 1/4" belt and a heavy pin.

The silver work is finished bright, with strong impressions in the tooling. It will age beautifully. If you are looking for an unusual buckle for the outdoors man or woman, this is the one!
