This contemporary vessel features native clay, traditionally coiled and hand-formed, polychrome slip in a turtle, prayer feathers and clouds poloychrome slip motif. Typical of Jemez polychrome slip decoration, the colors are brighter,a nd include a blue pigment. This vase was created by Cyndee Sandia, from a respected Jemez pottery family. This is a kiln fired vessel. It is 3" in diameter and only 2 5/8" high. If you are looking for an unusually nice, small piece of authentic Jemez pottery, then go no further!
