SquareTrade © AP6.0Great Wide Zuni Needlepoint Turquoise Cuff by Gerald Etsate!
Zuni needlepoint lapidary is known world-wide for its intricacy and design. The Zunis patiently refined the process of cutting raw turquoise into small, thin settings, polishing them then setting them in typically concentric, "sunburst" or Floral motifs. This cuff is a nice example of both the current state of the technique as well as the refined silversmithing that is the Zuni hallmark. The central cluster form measures 2 3/8" x 2" wide, to fit a 6.5" wrist circumference, including the 1 1/8"gap. Because the settings are separated on the wire shank, the cuff my be gently re-shaped to fit the wearer. Signed inside "G. Etsate", this is a beautiful example from a noted Zuni lapidarist at a very reasonable price!
